One of my friends has a problem.....

When he turns it on, it posts etc and gets through BIOS, and when the windows logo appears with the blue bar going across it, the bar goes across a few times, but then freezes. So you press the reset button, and it says about windows not starting properly and allows you to load in Safe mode. It then displays all that writing crap with what its loading, drivers etc. But then hangs there as well.

It got in to windows once in safe made, but other than the once it just keeps freezing.

Any ideas what the problem could be? The hard drive is fairly new, and hasnt given any problems etc. There arent any beeps, so i presume the RAM is ok.........

Any help would be great.
Cheers
Chris

Charge him before you look at it.

I got a box sitting here that dont work. Its a footrest til I get money off my mate.

Your problem is Windows is knackered. You wont find out why unless you can get Windows to boot. Reinstall and go from there. I had the same problem at work. The fix involved a 5 minute walk and a skip.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.
