Title: cpu holding back CF 5770s ?
Post by: chaotic_uk on November 25, 2009, 22:40:54 PM
is my cpu holding back my crossfired 5770s ? , phenom II 720BE @ 3.3ghz or is it my mobo (biostar ta790gx 128m) ?

single 5770 vantage score = 9078

crossfired 5770s vantage score = 11508

seems i wasted the money the second card cost me tbh if my cpu is not bottlenecking my gfx cards

The Thermalright is an Air Cooler, the H50 is water cooling but its a sealed system comes with water uh pre installed :P

The memory is DDR3

The above specs are really only quoted if you want to OC, if not then you can shave some £s off by going for run of the mill stuff

with my mobo being am2+ is it worth getting the phenom II 940 BE ? , i have read on the net that this mobo does not play nice at times with the am3 720 BE . yet the cpu support list includes this cpu ?
