Every time I hear George singing Do you really want to hurt me? It irritates me to the point I want to get medieval on his ass   Its not anything to do with him being gay, its just the I dont care way he sings the song.

Kate Bushs screech is as bad singing Heeeeeeethcleeeeeeeef! Sounds more like an option for torturing someone than listening to.

Those are my pet hates in musicians, most others I can listen to. What are yours?

Pete

50 Cent - In Da Club
Beyonce - Baby Boy
Natasha Bedingfield - These Words
Destinys Child - Lose My Breath
Mis-teeq - Scandalous

That synthy orchestra hit noise that was the latest fad a while back, mainly in hip-hop & rnb, that noise really gets on my tits.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I love Boy George to death. Hes a living soul singing legend, tbh. I saw Culture Club bout ten years ago which was long enough to strip off the 80s veneer--and was shocked at how timeless and soulful they were.

Kate Bush is the fuel for two generations of psycho women...not that she doesnt have talent.

Who do I despise?: Natalie Merchant. I have never heard such atonality in my life. Shes painful, but everybody just seems to agree to ignore the obvious. :puke: Shania Twain: the most evil cnut Ive met in my life, there is nothing human left in her.

I hate "over singing" in general. Not that I have a beef with somebody who knows how to sing laying down a wild bit of scat.Take Christina Aguilera for example. She teeters on the edge of the Maria Carey oversinging precipice--but I have to say that she comes pretty close to pulling it off.

Now, oversinging in something that should be plain and straight up like country or bluegrass--thats a crime. Not that you should sound like your hair smells like eggs either...

Everything else hes done and i would agree with you, except its very hard to forgive that single one. Hes still got a bit of a hill to climb.
