will not be freely available until next year.

All pre-orders will be fulfilled on a first come, first served basis

Hard luck, I paid Ã,£20 at my local game but im sure plenty of people got in before me, so even im unsure of getting one at launch :cry:

not really.. i mean there are a very large number of wii consoles already made (4millionish) and more apparently on the way, and even nintendo are predicting that most of the wii sales will only happen after christmas, expecting word of mouth to do the best marketing.

People are so used to nintendo producing second rate machines, and sony being the dogs balls, that most people who arent big in the console news, want a ps3 and think the wii will be another nintendo flop.

Im surprised these UK stores didnt do what the USA did and waited until they were allocated a number of consoles before accepting orders.

I ordered mine on the same day as the announcement, I just got the email too.

Just imagine how bad the PS3 will be for the US folk, I bet most of them wont even get told till like a day they should get them.
Eu even next year will be bad

It gets on my nerves though these console, movie, game, hardware companies always scew and cant be arsed with the EU and a lot of the time UK, giving higher prices with no or poor reasons for doing so and just not bothering to produce them for us or with such low numbers

Its about time the EU stepped in and went "right, enough is enough, you must provide this this and this and do this and that or we cut your trade or tax reductions or stop you doing this etc"
Because without the kick up the backside they will still do it.

Or maybe someone in the EU should come up with a console design that will be released here first. Unlikely though.

I ordered mine within an hour of it appearing on the play.com website.  Big deal.
