Title: Damn M$ networking...
Post by: Serious on October 15, 2007, 11:27:33 AM
OK the router/modem says its got contact with the USB wi-fi dongle, the dongle says its connected but Windaz eXtremely Poor cant seem to acquire an IP addy :/

Tried hard resetting the modem and restarted the PC. Cleared Mac filtering and temporarily stopped the encryption. Still wont work.

Two hours sleep last night means Im not firing on all cylinders either.

Any ideas? :)

delete all the wireless network settings, then put them back in.  Use the Zero Config as well, some of the newer USB Dongles and software dont seem to like XP.

Hence why i dont use it anymore :) it used to be good before it got took over or merged with that other company and then after that it went all slow and buggy with my wireless connection.

Err... Now I have had some actual sleep it may have been a problem with Serious trying to block an app and clicking generic host process instead while nearly asleep  :whoops:  :whoops:
