Post by: neXus on September 30, 2006, 02:18:04 AM
Its out now from you popular download location, must say its very well presented i like the look and kind of fun, I think the real kick in stuff comes when you got 4 people on the go etc.

Any of you want to get it as well and play some games?

Its not just a demo!

Its a full game.

Costs Ã,£10 to register it, and the demo even allows multiplayer gaming but only with 2 players not 6 and using the default game mode.

Think im going to check it out, and then just cough up the dough :)

Hell yeah, had a few goes and got my ass kicked once and had a mad ahrd battle with some guy, it can get very hectic, You even have to deploy quick as if you get to defcon 3 i think to fast you cant deploy all your things and that varies on how fast your oponant is.

Its a basic game made really nice looking, plays well you could get into it as a quick thinking play time when you cant be bothered to shoot people up or play a in depth game.

mmm, hows the game run on everyone elses system ?

its slow/jumpy as hell here :(

my gfx card sucks, but it doesent look that gfx intensive (unless the gfx card is doing a wadge of maths for that display?)

4400x2, 2gig of fast ram, nothing running in the background

I can run things like the new age of empires, dawn of war etc... no problems, but not this :(

Just tried the demo mode on my ancient beast and that goes like the clappers :dunno:

Might be their servers are getting hammered.

Unfortunately a few games have problems with multi CPU computers.

The tutorial plays adequately on mine but the game is a bit slow.

I set it to just use 1 of the cores and its still naff :(

I had an ftp download going in the background the first time I ran it.... cancling that speeded it up a little, but still not playable :(

could always run it on my old pc I guess, lol

knighty, try reducing the screen res in game,

ive got it at home @1600x1200 and it plays fine
but at work i have to have it at between 800x600 and 1024 x 768 for it to run nicely,
this is with an onboard radeon express 300 (???)

My firend has a new dual core system, game like Total War were not running smoothly.  It wasnt lag or slowdown, it was more like it was skipping ahead and pausing.  Units were moving oddly.  This utility fixed that and the game works fine now.

It runs in the background once installed and the utility can be removed at any time.

THATS IT!!! :) Thats the fix I saw ages ago, dual core cpus fk up the games :D lol

Ive only played vs AI at the moment, and still not bought it. Once youve played the AI once, its boring. I reckon we should get a tek game going :D lol.

As to the 3 players, its a 2 player demo + 1 spectator, so its only 2 players. Full game is up to 6 however :) so should make for a more interesting game.
