Title: Dell Axim x3
Post by: chrisdicko on June 01, 2006, 12:57:01 PM
Hiya,
As some of you might know ive got a PSP for swaps.....for a tom tom or something along them lines.

Well ive been offered a  dell axim x3, which has a 128mb card, charger, leather case and a bluetooth gps receiver......

Are these any good guys, as ive never really looked in to them. Can you update the Tom Tom version easily....and cheaply?

Is it worth getting, or are they more trouble than they are worth? Will it be worth selling the PSP and just buying a Tom Tom?

Thanks for any advice.

Anyone know if these work well etc with Tom Tom?

Been reading about it, and it seems ok. But I know people on here have used sat nav with their PDAs before, so wouldnt mind hearing from them.

Cheers :)

I use CoPilot (Which I think is better than TomTom particularly as TomTom coverage outside mainland UK is pathetic) on my Axim x51v - and its great - cant fault it.

They do indeed - how much will you get for a psp if you sold it? As the top spec axim is a shade over 300 with 324MB on board, wireless, bluetooth, VGA screen (With GPU) and a 624Mz cpu - the equivalent HP Ipaq is prob about Ã,£3,000 or so

There are lower spec (Brand new) models available from Ã,£219 that would still run tomtom well.
