As Farcehosts incompetence has now been proven to be beyond a joke I like many others will be jumping ship.

I currently have all my server/hosting with Go Daddy, so its only my domains I need to shift. Should I stick my domains in through Go Daddy for ease (1x .net and 1x .co.uk) or do you think a better UK based option would be the best bet? Any recommendations?

Ill be keeping my sites on Go Daddy servers as Im happy with their price/service.

edit: hmmm, looks like Go Daddy wont look after .co.uk domains. Oh well.

how do you move them? ive a load to shift off

General procedure is to find your new host, initiate the transfer through them, then youll probably have to change the IPS tag for each domain and respond to an email approving the transfer.

I documented my issues with them in the general forum, im still trying to close my accounts down, the telephone number i was given which im told is for account closures only is permanently either engaged or when you get through its the same recorded message every 5 seconds, and yes i counted the time between the messages.

I got sick of this, ive just emailed them, but i had to ring to get the email because the customercare address is not on their website.

I hear its a big company now, just a shame it seems their cs is run from a bedroom...

Still cant find anything saying that they are now encrypting all passwords in their database.

Saw something saying "we did this for customer service reasons" which is a complete joke considering what has happened now.

Top tip - ask your hosting company if their passwords are encrypted. There is absolutely no reason not to be doing this.
