Be24 want £24 for connection, BT want £124.99 to reconnect, in theory I have to find £150 because VM are blocking me, bastards.

you have explained to BT that you are a returning customer yes?  and that you already have a BT copper to your house?  Ive never known them actually charge you for reconnection when you want to get a line activated.  They just tie you into a 12 month contract.  Also, O2 dont charge activation.

i guess Ive been unlucky with BT, Ive made 3 call two say £124.99 and I said to the 3rd Im paying for you lot to do nothing, he did a PO check and confirmed an engineer will need to come out, put me on hold and never answered me again, so as yet Im to pay full price, i dont want yearly contracts.

BT have to charge you that to re-connect you.... some monopoly / unfair compertition rule says they have to do it or it would be unfair on the other companies who couldent compeet :o

I downloaded a program off BBCi player that hit max speeds, unfortunatly for me most of my dowwnloads are dodgy according to VM, I use uTorrent  a lot.

Torrents are slow most of the time & aint worth the hassle

Maybe try a trial - you can have a 3 day/10gb trial for free with giganews

Ive heard Newsgroups are very fast, but finding, music, films and apps  are harder than  found on torrent sites.

my dogs get nice meaty bones all the time and pretty soon after you see a few white ones :o

a couple of days later and its back to normal...
