Title: Domain name sales
Post by: Batch on March 18, 2010, 20:28:21 PM
I was wondering how much my website is worth and found out it was worth £10,728.58 currently.

To be honest, I dont have as much the time to carry on Ministry of Gamers and would probably sell it on for more potential.

How would I go about selling it and getting near to or over the estimate price? Any advice is much appreciated and if anyone here is interested to take the domain name on, let me know. :)

i doubt if youd get anywhere nr the price tbh.
Id be suprised if you got 5% of that value.

Not to be a put down, but seriously, your site is not worth 10% of that much to most people, Egg was right. Dont believe what some random quote thing tells you. Its only worth what someone is actually willing to pay for it.

You have a small gamers community site on a half-decent domain name, youre not exactly ebuyer.com

Not even worth 1% I would say.
I do not know where you got that figure from at all but that is daft.

Domain Name as it is it could be used by something else other then gaming. Just looking at the link base SEO wise on that domain as well as routing potential etc just now from the places I use every day for work your looking at a UK value for the domain of £100 ish.
The site itself is a template based free CMS and the content is nothing really unique and has no web apps or features or community to speak of and so there is no worth in the content on there at all.

Sorry but your not going to get much more then someone wanting a domain name. Stick anything over £100 on it price wise and it will not sell and people will just wait to snap it up when it expires.

I told my boss, 20 years + web experience and he just laughed when he saw the site and the evaluation.
