Does it install on top of 1.5.0.7 without destroying anything ?

The final is no buggier than 1.5. So basically it still crashses.

Spell checker does seem to work when doing the posts on the forum, gives a red line under misspelt words.

You might have to install a dictionary though, right click in the text area when posting, select add dictionaries and go look for the one you want, usually English United Kingdom.

I use firefox all day long and I do use my system hard for development of sites and firefox crashes way more than IE ever did. But ff is just nicer so I use it.

I get about equal crashes between the two, perhaps a few more on IE, so far none on FF2 but Im just waiting for the first.

You might have to install a dictionary, Check Tools/addons/extensions to see if you have a dictionary installed, if not right click in the text area when posting, select add dictionaries and go look for the one you want, usually English United Kingdom.

Then Tools/Options/advanced/general and make sure the Check my spelling as I type option is ticked.

painless upgrade from 1.5 for me,
think it hung once at work but thats it.

the restore session is useful, close it down at night and can get back into work the next morning without any fuss

I do open and close it all day long. I use FF for around 16 hours a day so it does get some hammer.
