Chuckie Egg & Elite was the 1st puter games I owned.
Used to play space invaders in the local chinese tho when I would have been about 3 or 4

Deaths Head

I suspect combat on Atari 2600.

maximusotter

Pong. 8) Then the Kwik-E-Mart down the road got Space Invaders, then Asteroids...then on to the classics like Robotron, Tempest, Pac Man, Dig Dug, Joust, Frogger, Q-bert, Star Wars...

Mardoni

Yeah Pong for me too.

Then it was things like Painter and Dare Devil Dennis on the BBC before a huge break until Mario Bros. on the NES :)

Sweenster

well, it was the games my dad made of the local schools

then after that it was super mario bros on the nes

that and duck hunt

Eggtastico

ohh forgot about the atari classics thing. Video Boxing, Pong, Car Racing etc.
Big chunky controller with a number pad & stick. Used to love video boxing

I feel old now :( Parents used to take us down the local pier arcade. Give us a  quid each & off we go.. I was usually scrounging more 10ps within 10mins.. my brothers used to go straight to the slot machines & win another quid  - every time, the jammy bastards

Mardoni

You could slow down :o

All the old arcade classics were great but I was always on the 2p drop coin jobbies or the one-arm bandits :D

Walrusbonzo

TheMallrat

Donkey Kong, Keystone Kapers, Turbo, Mouse Trap, and Pitfall on the ColecoVision.

White Giant

The first game I ever played was on a Vax, which many years later I found out to be a *nix server! (Still not sure about that).

It was a simple idea, you control a cannon in the middle bottom of the screen, planes fly overhead and drop paratroopers, you must shoot them down otherwise when they land they run to your cannon and destroy it.

Zool on the Amiga 500 was probably the first game I played properly.

C&C was the first PC game I played.

Beaker

hmm,

Probably the "Grandstand 20-in-1" thing that plugged into the TV.  Followed by Mars Lander on the Acorn Electron and Zaxxon on the Colleco Cartridge System.

On the Mac the 1st game i played was a Star Trek Next Generation game, though the Mac was also my initial introduction to FPS Games with Maraton. Wolfenstien 3D was the 1st PC game i played properly.

Pete

At school:

A few adventure games on the BBCs
Space Invaders

At home:

Centipede
Asteriods
Missile Command
"Soccer"
Leaper
Cops & Robbers :)
Awesome side-scrolling shooter (DefenderII?)
There was a sort of 1st person Asteriods too.

On an Atari 65xe.

The games came on cassette tapes and cost Ã,£1-5 each. Took about 5-10 minutes to (sometimes) load and they made a horrible screechy noise.

Then sega came into my house and started charging Ã,£30 a pop.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.
