Me and Bacon have been using Giff Gaff to talk to each other when arranging meet ups Wub I haven't put the sim in my phone for ages though as I've not been over to his or up to knightys in a while so have only topped up once. It was a bit of a performance as their website was running stupidly slow at the time, as pointed out it seems like an okay network (cheap and cheerful) but don't come to rely on their services or anything, I get the feeling they could be the type of company just pack up shop and disband overnight one day if the milk turns sour.

They have been around for a while now, i doubt they will disappear, costs are low because of the CS via their forums by the community, the issues with the site seem to have sorted themselves in the last few months.

It works better if you stack goody bags (not that i've ever bothered). :P I've also had £5 or £10 of free calls from referalls which was nice. :D

QuoteIf you want the point you have to cut it yourself

Goto spread giffgaff and request a sim to your address (or send it direct to your friend to get cut down).

You can either buy a cutter on ebay for about £2.75 or goto a phone shop and pay about the same for them to cut that 1 sim.

If you use microgaff your mate gets his £5 but you get nothing.

Looks like you cant refer micro-sims :( Never mind.

I've never personally had any issue with the service, I prefer administering everything online and and getting instant answers a forum to sinning in a call waiting queue. My Mum isnt the same so it doesn't really work for her.

~M3TAL If that £40 isnt partly paying for a phone then you'd be way better off with giffgaff.

Cheers, he said he'll pass the link on to a few friends anyway, even if he can't use it..

Phone is paid off. I'd like a new phone but giffgaff might be the solution then I guess. Will have to see what the deal is.

Depends how many minutes you use. All the below have unlimited data, unlimited texts and unlimited giffgaff to giffgaff calls:

£10pm -  250 anytime mins
£15pm -  400 anytime mins
£20pm -  800 anytime mins
£25pm - 1500 anytime mins

£3pm - blackberry services (presumably not required judging by your tapatalk sig)

Just get a phone on Ebay, plenty of people selling their latest upgrades for a bit of extra cash.

Yeah think i'm definitely going to give this a go. If only to see what O2 say when I ring up requesting a PAC code.

Ah unfortunately I've given first dibs to a mate of mine :D You've got sloppy seconds if he doesn't get back to me with his link. :)
