Had a quick go today (F430s, R8s and GTRs - drool) and have to admit I am tempted to get a PS3 just for this.... must resist, it hasnt got damage after all! Apparently the real GT5 will.... hopefully...

Forza 2 will whip its ass.

I sitll havent quite worked out what Prologue is supposed to be?  A preview of GT5?  A flavour sample?

Sweenster

basically GT5 isnt finished yet, but they feel they need some income as they havent got a new diamond encrusted ivory back scratcher this week. So they throw out a limited version earlier on and call it prologue.

Deaths Head

GT5 wont be finished until late 2009 so its a cash in and an attempt to drum up more interest.

So it will sell like hotcakes in Japan and the US then

I do love Forza... tbh one of the main reasons I wanted GT5 was for the Nissan GTR and Audi R8. Hadnt realised they were releasing car packs for Forza - bought the December pack yesterday which has taken care of my GT5 craving - although got an Audi R8 maxed out (770bhp, 0-60 in 2.2sec!), BMW M3 E30 and Ferrari 599.

End of the day lack of damage is just pathetic these days, spent a good few hours destroying my new cars yesterday, gottal ove the value add there :P

Hopefully theyll release the GTR soon for Forza (and a long shot, but would love to see the Tesla Roadster).

There is also talk of the top gear test track coming to Forza 2.

Edit.  I lied.  Some half baked console company no-ones ever heard of has the rights to it.

I mean, Who the F*ck is Sony?

PHASE5

GT5 will simply be the best driving game of its time when it is released. I have had every GT from 1-4 and all the prolouges and they are without a doubt in my mind the best graphical and realism experience of driving a car. I admit however that unless they do built in a damage feature it may be a slight let down... its that one step away from being the ultimate simulator and when they make that step I will buy a PS3 GT5 and take 2 weeks off work!

I disagree.  The previous GTs were good because there was nothing else.  I wouldnt say they were graphically spectacular, nor particularly real feeling.  It was less arcadey than NFS or similar, but now there are alternatives it pales.

The adverts look good in most part because its showing the replays after the race which did use to look good but the in race graphics were always sub par.  This will be the same judging by the adverts.

Forza for me is where its at.  You can feel the difference between the tyre pressures and temperature, as well as having damage.  Every minute change you make to the cars setup can be felt.  GT had similar but didnt really do a great deal.
