Games wise it is just a lull after xmas, the actual hype games are more this year then they were last year
Also note how the 360 people are already seeing better fps then the ps3 and has exclusive extra content out of the box and through xbox live
I will definitely be getting this for my 360, had the special edition ordered for ages and these screenies looks absolutely spanking :rock:plus I need a bag for the gym 8-)

Xbox or PS3 fanboy it doesnt matter, its just a fact that the 360 version has alot more exclusive downloadable content and rockstar have said in interviews that the game runs better on 360.
Think Im just doing what I always do and waiting for this to come out on the PC. I could never get the hang of using a controller to play GTA games.

Indeed. :( Although I wonder if this will actually see a PC release, and even if it does itll be the usual Rockstar 6 months later type of affair. Not that Im complaining, Id sooner they take the time to do a proper version rather than port it straight across and introduce a lot of bugs, but it just means I have to run around with my fingers in my ears shouting "LA LA LA LA" very loudly whenever anyone discusses GTA IV. 8-)
I would rather play a GTA game on PC too, but if I do ever get an Xbox (the idea Ive now postponed even longer since Ive spent a fortune at the garage) this would be a must have purchase regardless.
I dont do computer games (except for GTA games) - seriously aside from bully (also by rockstar) they are the only games I play.
I cant wait for this to come out - tbh.. Ive done everything you can do in San Andreas pretty much and the PS2 ports of liberty city stories and vice city stories were OK for a bit but quite frustrating to play after san andreas.
As for the controller thing - Id agree that PC was better for most of the previous games - especially when manually aiming with say a sniper rifle (mouse/keyboard combo is far superior)
However in san andreas the auto targeting was much improved compared to the GTA3 and vice city games + the PS2 controller is far superior for use in aircraft and probably also has a slight edge with cars and bikes too.

Im fully aware of the delays. Its the final product that matters.

And you would be wrong, and your moaning about someone having an opinion, not the only one to have that opinion, the fact that many times links to things have been made (vista examples of the sp pack and the problems compared to xp sp3 etc all linked all further come out with the sp 1 pack issues of vista and official announcements admitting to them etc so all justified and with other threads you seem to want to ignore on how I always and keep stating I like the ps3 machine but it was built by monkeys with monkeys running Sony spoiling the machine and the games as a result of which people "quitting" etc and while copying the others but since the things copying are good meaning improvements then ...

GTA has been delayed because of BOTH consoles, not just the PS3.
PS3 doesnt have enough memory
360 doesnt have enough storage.
BIG map, looks great looks properly massive, the radio station widgets as well previewing them sound great also
Vice President of Development for GTAIV, Jeronimo Barrera, has confirmed that the PS3 will likely see its own exclusive episodes for download. It is unclear whether this means that the £25 million Microsoft spent to gain exclusivity for 2 pieces of DLC only secured a timed window of exclusivity, or that the PS3 will simply get exclusive DLC that is completely unrelated to the 360s exclusive DLC, but either way it is good news for those intending to buy the game for the PS3.
But the good news for Sony fans does not stop there, apparently. There are strong indications that Rockstar intends to heavily support the launch of Home, potentially bringing content for customisation (clothes, accessories, room decor, etc), the chance to decorate your place with your GTAIV ingame accomplishments and the ability to stream replays of your GTAIV mayhem through the TVs in your Home space. There is even speculation that this collaboration between Sony and Rockstar will extend further, with Rockstar kickstarting the launch of Sonys new Accomplishments system, the approaching rival to Xbox Lives Achievements.

This looks like a total bargain to me, Im tempted to get a pre-order in but wondering if I should wait and go for an elite for the bigger HDD... anything else better about the elite?

Yep, and yeah you will need the hardrive space with things getting bigger and the fact you have movie and tv downloads through xbox live you could use etc.
I mean you will want street fight 2 hd off xbox live when it comes up for example and that is a big download
Go with the premium unless youre interested in the 720p movie downloads. You can always get the 120Gb HDD later. :)

Done 3 hours straight, as good as the hype. Effortless excecution of so many touches of class everywhere, I could waffle on about them all but I dont want to spoil anything. I personally think Ricky Gervais is a cretin and about as funny as cancer, but can confirm that he appears on one of the radio stations trying to be funny.
Its easily worth the wait, will be interesting to see how it compares to the PS3 version (I have the special edition on pre-order)
I like his stand-up (Fame, Animals) but not extras or the office.

I think it is something in all games pushing things these days and is happening on both consoles but there has been effort to try and prevent this and GTA games have had a lot of it in the past as well so if it is not that often then they done a good job.
Highlights one thing for the console makers - more ram is defiantly needed in the next gen (of course there will be but not in terms of a standard ratio, more then that) as both ps3 and 360 do not seem to have enough pre-storage to prevent popping (360s fault is no default hardrive as well)
When I decide to get this I will need to get it from the UK, NZ version is the same as the OZ version and watered down - f*** that, lol
