I went to see this on Wednesday night.  Id heard all about how good it was supposed to be.

Quite honestly it was the most boring, storyless, dull film I have seen in a long time.  Id struggle to give it more than 3/10.

The highlight?  Me needing a piss.

I enjoyed it, although I agree with the criticism the film got. Book is much better.

Totally with you. First movie Id seen at the theater for like 6 months and I thought about asking for a refund.

My understanding was that its meant to be pretty bleak and dreary, and well, boring. It was meant to show how in the future in that kind of scenario life isnt an exciting mad max thing, but rather a monotonous effort for plain old survival?

I dont think thats a good excuse to bore someone silly for 2 hours.

Absolutely spot on lol. You would think anyone in that situation would soon realise that the world is now full of crazy folk and being quiet and not whining is a requisite of survivability.

There is also have a well stocked nuclear bunker with plenty of fit females, be able to shoot straight, make a working car out of two tons of junk and chop a dozen zombies heads off in one swing of your axe.

Having a zombie proof armoured suit is also useful.
