Thirded - thought it was a real poor show after all the hype. Games from late 2005 look better FFS.

They are slightly dissapointing to be fair.  Its obvious what the console is capable of with games like Gear Of War.

With your comparisson to BioShock Ill defend Halo 3 a bit.  As as far gameplay goes this is the first game, halo is the third in the series and will have constraints set upon by what has been set the first 2 games.

Graphics.  Mixed opinion, I think its called effort myself that justifies why it is poor.  Facial models are especially bad.  It doesnt look bad, its just doesnt scream of effort.

Nexus brings up the issue of indoor outdoor graphics. Well, with an indoor enviroment there is my far a lot more detail to render, when you look at the size of the enviroments being created though, its a city, its not just the enviroment you are in its what you can see and how far also.  Its very impressive.

 I would agree, but the system is more than capable of it, I only have to look at Crysis and Half Life 2: Episode 2 out next week  

Halo 3 will never go down as a game of all time, simply a worthy way to end a  good series.

It doesnt look as nice as GoW imo but the MP game play is much better. Bungie have done a good job on adding loads of different game types. I really like having the choice between solo and team based play.

ive played Halo 3, looked nowhere near as nice as GoW like you said, and the multiplayer imo wasnt as good either...

GoW is far more teambased and its addictive

for that reason i havent bought halo 3, i may borrow it off someone to complete the campaign mode but for online multiplayer im still playing GoW every day

Did you try the team based MP stuff ? Ive quite enjoyed the team slayer and team VIP games that Ive played so far. Its nice having the choice to not just play deathmatch (solo or team).

Really cant be arsed to read 6 pages of posts on Halo 3...

Got the game yesterday and played the 1st 5 missions last night local co-op with a mate (on legandry) and should be doing the rest tonight. Its good fun, nothing special but an entertaining shooter with co-op.

The local co-op is annoying that its not widescreen, have to play with picture in centre of the screen! I thought something was wrong when I frist booted up and went on but it looks like thats the way it is

Got my Ltd Ed yesterday, its knackered lol ah well, probably send it back and get the normal one

Completed on Lengandry with a mate, about 10hours I think
