they are usually good screens for the money too, i suggest you look for reviews though as some screens are terrible, even expensive ones!

Serious

Watch out for the resolution though, some still claim that widescreen VGA is HD ready.

Mark

Some manufacturers also claim that 720p max is fully HDTV ready - personally I wouldnt piss on 720p - but thats just after being spolit with 1080i movies from alt.binaries.hdtv....

madmax

tbh im not even gonna bother getting a screen till they hit 1080p.
may even just get a pc screen with component inputs and use that (dell 2407 etc..)

try some wmvhd videos on your pc before you get yourself plasma.

Bah, I have the HD box hooked into both a 1080i 45" Sharp LCD and a 720p 43" Pioneer and you can *just* tell the difference.

So, for everyone normal who ISNT running HD through a 108" projector like BX, they both look great.

It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

Mark

Some of the 720 content that I have looks really good - most notably war of the worlds.

I have to say though - independence day 1080i looks so good you can see the faults in the SFX

I have a 1366*768 32" screen which is very adequate for films or computer use. They are also a lot cheaper than 1080i screens.
