First off i have a Gigabyte AMD 780g motherboard and a Hannspree 32" TV.

Ive installed Windows media center 2005 onto the pc. Ive connected the PC to the TV via a HDMI and all is good, great quality. However there is no audio. Am i missing something? How can i make sure the motherboard, pc and TV can do this?

thanks by the way

Are you using both dvi & hdmi output, if so and the sound settings are correct then the sound may be going through the dvi output rather than the dvi, remember reading that 780g doesnt support both these ports use at the same time.  So disconnect monitor and see if it works.

if youve got no audio feed into the gfx card its not going to output audio. my 32"sony lets you connect rca/3.5mm headphone for use with the hdmi.

Do you mean a physical feed as in a cable? Mine outputs audio over hdmi (also to a hanspree tv) and I dont have any input for sound in the gfx card - I just have to select hdmi output on my windows soundcard settings. Mind you I am on Vista so not sure if it works the same
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!
