Ive spent the past hour googling and I cannot find the answer to my problem :s

I have a LG KU990 (Viewty) mobile phone.
The phone is connected to my PC using its USB cable. (I gave up on Bluetooth).
The phone appears in XPs Phone and Modems dialog.
If I query the modem (phone) I get the following response:

Ive configured Windows Faxing to use this modem as its Fax modem.
Ive created a fax and can see the fax sitting in the Outbox of the Fax Console.
The fax never goes and all I get is:
QuoteStatus: Failed
Extended Status: Fatal Error

I am missing something obvious ?

Mongoose

are you sure the phone is able to act as a fax modem?

Mardoni

Everything I can find on the web suggests that it can be used as a modem: data / fax = yes.

Im starting to think that its a lie and that the phone can only be used as a "modem" modem and not a fax modem.

I have just tried with my KU990 using a different piece of software, as I cant find a copy of XP to install windows fax.

And it doesnt work, I had a little more sucess using the bluetooth modem as opposed to bluetooth fax modem, might be worth a try if you havent already?

Also the services listed in the bluetooth services on the handset, does not list fax.

I know this is bluetooth and not USB but maybe some of the same issues?

Cheers

hmm, something stirs in my memory that you need to get onto your Service Provider and get them to unlock the ability on your SIM.
