Its not as hard as it used to be, just read the manual to make sure you plug everything in :P

My last build (2007) took me best part of two days - but that included hours and OCD hours of "getting the thermal paste juuuuuust right"!  :panic:

Thankfully the bundle's assembled and good to go so just a case of stripping the old stuff out and bunging it all in. I hope...  :worried: ;D

I'm real fussy as well, everytime i upgrade i have to buy a new case and all new components as i hate putting new bits in with dusty bits.

Make sure you get some cable ties.

This is not going well. Everything's in and looking spangly but it goes into a boot loop when powered up. It switches on for about 4-5 seconds then shuts off and powers on again ad infinitum.

So far I've tried unplugging GPU, isolating other peripherals, fans, drives, USB cables etc.

Any suggestions before I'm forced to rip the CPU heatsink out?

ETA: Don't mind me... I'd forgotten to stick one of the power cables into the mobo!  :-[  :muttley:

Blimey. 25 seconds from cold boot to desktop.  :o I should do this more often!
