Ordered pipex ADSL MAX about 3 weeks ago and its still sitting with BT - last time I ordered ADSL it was in France and took 1 minute between calling the ISP and line being active. Last time over here was about 10 days I think. Whats normal?

Also - have pipex gone to sh*te - I see a lot of bad reviews growing about them

If BT have to upgrade the equipment surely you are gonna have to wait.
In france the equipment must already be installed.

My old man is currently waiting for carphone warehouse, a month so far.
They havent even sent a modem or owt yet.

I cancelled my internet on the 1st of June.

Im still bloody online, yet fast24 insist that my cancellation went through on the 1st of june as planned.

BT dont have to upgrade the equipment - NI is far ahead of the rest of the UK with ADSL - weve had 100% coverage for ages now, and ADSL max is on every exchange (As far as Im aware)

It just seems like there is a lot of foot dragging going on!

If your going through a router next time you disconnect you wont get back on.

Like I said, were ahead of the rest of the UK with ADSL and were all upgraded. Im wondering about the average time taken from ordering your service to getting it ! I thought it was supposed to be 7-10 days.

It used to be up to 10 working days. No idea now as many are using th LLU and going elsewhere. Pehaps thats causing delays?
Didnt BT cancel the uptake of something or other as thay couldnt keep up with demand? think i remember something from the news recently.

You mean to say I could just stay connected forever? :o

My router has gone down like once in a year because of a powercut! :D

16 days they said it could take up to 3 weeks though.

I recently left Fast24. They cut me off at the end of the month as I asked.

I ordered AdslMax through Plusnet and it took about 2 weeks to get reconnected.

I just wish the 10day trial period was up so I could go above 2mbit.
