Id been told for years to check out "The New Pornographers", a Canadian "Supergroup" with my indie darling Neko Case as one of the vocalists. I like Neko so much, I was scared. Scared that shed let me down and Id have to take her off her pedestal.
Yesterday I bit the bullet and got all three New Pornographers albums. Fears were blown away, replaced by a smile. This is perfect poptastic rock. Awesome. :ptu: Havent heard music this, er, FUN, in years. Lyrics are nutty and contain non-sequiters about flying into lesbian rage and such. Who cares? Great guitar hooks and frothy harmonies.
All three records get 5/5 stars. :D

Damn, its been a long long time since I replayed a band as often as this. Im a huge Neko Case fan and her songs are great--but these are great and just super catchy pop masterpieces.
"Mass Romantic" will be name dropped by hipsters twenty years from now. :lol:
