Mongoose

my internet is up and working at home (hurray!)

I have my lappy working happily with wireless. Today I bought a wireless PCI card (a netgear 311GE to be exact) to get my desktop/server onto the network since I dont want to have to run a cable. I just tried installing said card and whenever it is in the machine she wont POST.

Machine is an Athlon64 3000+ with 768MB in an ASUS vintage V2 barebones case. 1 SATA, 2 PATA HDD and 1 PATA DVD+-RW.

Ive tried the card in both PCI slots, no difference.

any ideas? or is it just a dud card?
