Ive been asked by my ISP to test speeds from the following sources :

o P2P software eg, torrent files
o FTP
o HTTP – General browsing
o VPN connections
o SQL or MySQL connections

I can do P2P, FTP, & HTTP easily enough. Any way to quickly and simple test the speed of my connection with regards the others?

Cheers.

Edit - This is due to me contacting my ISP recently because of very slow download speeds, both P2P and normal downloads. Ive just run the BT speed test suggested, and it gives the following.

QuoteTest1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 7150 kbps
    DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)  8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 936 kbps

936 kbps? Havent seen anything download at more than 400k for about a month. :(
