There seems to be a pattern developing - during weekday mornings and weekend days I get about 1.5 Mb - but sometimes worse -, and this goes up to 2.5 or a bit more late on...(i.e. around now ). Considering I had a stable 1 Mb before, and the average lift should be something like 4 times faster, its a bit miffing....

I get my MAX service enabled on the 2nd of June.

I live a fair way from the exchange, hopefully this wont cock things up. Ive got a reasonably stable 2048/256 at the moment - hopefully the 8mb/400kb wont actually lower my speeds during busy times.

Saturday night is always bad for some reason, the net drops on and off all evening (itll drop, then the router will re-dial and get back on straight away... but give it a few mins and itll drop again!)

According to the BT site im good for over 4mbit. Rather excited!!

dunno when mines due but doubt mine will sync much higher than the 2mb dl it does at the min.

wonder if ill need a new router over my trusty dabs value no name  (well "pti" on the front and had to e-mail directly in asia to get a firmware upg.)  thats served me well, even manages about 400 - 500 concurrent tcp / udp connections without exploding into a firery mess like some other routers

Well it still seems to vary, worse at peak times, but when its quiet...

I can download at 500-800k now depending on the time of day.

Bit pee-d off with the reduction during peak times - read Saturday afternoons! only 400kbps atm, and you do notice the latency
