Couple of the guys just got to the office this morning with their iPhone 4's bootlooping after updating last night. After Checking my RSS feeds it seems there has been quite a few issues with the release.

Bottom line is - most Apple owners I've spoken to so far are absolutely raving about iOS5 today, and thats all Apple are going to care about. The only people I've heard slating it so far are BB and Android owners.... ;P

Tried a couple of times in the last hour or so and it's timing out on the download near the end

I guess its just a case of waiting for the traffic to die down.

Ha BB are being dragged through the dirt at the moment, I mean 3-4 days of interrupted service and it took them 3 days to make any sort of announcement.

and as I mentioned to you on facebook... I agree. The guy obviously had issues with the update which pushed him to nitpick about all the other issues he could find. The only points on there I didn't understand why they removed multi touch from iPad 1 (more like the API changes they made broke it) and didn't mention about the API changes to devs so they could adapt their programs to work before release.

Its like most big releases of anything, there will always be bugs (Android are prehaps worse for this) but when a patch is actually bricking devices and forcing recovery it brings out all the things that would of slipped by as 'a bit annoying but meh'.

Leon, The Ipad 1 has not had multi touch removed. API changes which were mentioned. IOS5 has been in beta for ages and these have been documented. Some developers do not bother updating their apps till after a release or not at all. That is not Apples fault. Same with any OS update no matter what it is.

Turns out it was my antivirus blocking installation

I've just installed it on my 3GS, no problems at all 

And no slow down on the device 

On my iphone 4 - Really nice, speed, fast, Notifications are great. TEXT TONES! THANK GOD!

• Cleaner easier to use on off sliders,
• Reminders is actually really useful! I been surprised, due to the location based reminder controls - HANDY!
• IMessage is really smart,
• Just the general polish added to things, fonts, buttons etc. Even the app update bar on the app icons now sits better. As a designer I appreciate those fixes,
• Even as far as the alarm button being a new design and colour.

I miss my jailbroke lockscreen and some apps but it is a good update.

Ipad is good, not to sure about the split screen keyboard size (could be bigger) and why notifications does not fill more space. But it is good to text an iphone from my ipad.

The next step I want to see Apple do since they now have iCould, sync messages, calendars etc is Messaging being sorted.

I am on my ipad 2 and My phone is in my pocket and I get a text from a friend. It is not iMessage, just a text. I want to see it come up on my ipad because it knows my phone is near and show me the message and allow me to reply to it.

Same on the iMac at work or my macbook pro, I want to see the messages pop up so I can reply to them if I want via the device I am on currently.

My iPad 1 is also updated now, tabbed browsing has now come so may stop using atomix browser now. Might not though 

It also has Reader. Great feature.

Just had a look at the new notification sounds, needless to say my SMS sound isn't changing, unless I can add my own more subtle one! I just want a little beep, not a fanfare!

Get one off the web, plenty of nice subtle ones. Exactly what I changed it too. Something short, soft and clear.

Actually, I'm pretty impressed by Siri.

Now, if only you could give it GLADos voice

I would actually buy an iPhone tomorrow if it did this,
