Anyone else got their TV's pointed at Dave in a mixture of anticipation for what might be and fear of what happened last time?
or am I really all alone, more or less?
watching it now, not got high expectations but hope its ok.
I forgot to watch so I will have to watch it on the website now. Going in with expectations of mediocrity, natch.
Will watch it when it's rerun :D
I quite enjoyed that tbh, good old skool comedy.
Turns out its repeated at 23:40 on Dave if anyone is still up and missed it, I'll watch it then.
not quite RDV standard, but not bad at all actually, had me laughing out loud in places (I mean really, not in the internet parlance way).
A promising start!
Loved it - thought it was excellent
Agree with both of you, thought it really felt like one of the old series and some good LOL gags. Hopefully it will continue like that.
Sounds promising! Will have to watch it tomorrow night if it's been recorded by the parents, if not I'm sure it'll be repeated nightly on Dave!
I rated it highly, was buzzing afterwards, really good Wub :w00t:

you can watch it online :)
Cheers for that, watched it just now. Certainly more true to the earlier series.
I'm slightly confused/forgetful over how the last season ended though. I remember something about the Red Dwarf falling apart, and them all jumping through some dimensional mirror thing at the end. Then you had "Back to earth". Did they jump through to a dimension where they're the sole survivors again?
Only got to watch up to the break the other night but just watched online and it does seem to be back to the old classic Red Dwarf goodness

It may be explained in a later episode, but from the first one I think they're going for the "just assume everything post series 5 never happened and carry on flying Red Dwarf though space" approach.
Its not a bad call if you ask me, Red Dwarf didn't really work that well with the whole overarching story arc concept.
ep02 on tonight, the series is supposedly meant to get better as it goes on :)
9PM on Dave, reminder set ;)
Another corker I thought! :ptu:
Definitely back on form, the space CG was a bit dodgy though

RD always was better with models than CG IMO, I hate the re-mastered versions of the early series.
can't wait to see tonights episode, I've got it recorded and ready

Yeah it was - but I can live with that!
"That champagnes not gonna open itself..."
just saw yesterdays episode and if the trend continues the way it's going we'll be looking at the funniest Red Dwarf ever by the end of the series
Question is, are they going to end it at series 10? Leave on a high?
does anyone know who's writing series X? have they managed to get Grant and Naylor to talk to each other again? If so that might explain the spectacular return to former glory
Just Grant, I think.
