Title: Itunes 7
Post by: neXus on September 13, 2006, 15:21:26 PM
Some people do use this and I know what some of you will say, I use Itunes i have an ipod and its easy to use and get songs and small 5.1 working and all that ant the lossless is very nice.

Itunes been fine for me but 7 is a buggy peace of crap, Itunes users dont use it.

There seems to be sound issues with it causing mas crackling if you try and have anything other then 48Khz rate and 16bit size in your quicktime audio control pannel.

Itunes has this gapless tech, I saw the "dragons" tv show where this guy had software that tied songs together in a really clever way with nifty code, He went with 2 dragons to set his own site selling the songs that can have this with a player etc. Not seen anything but one said he should sell it to current like Apple.
He may have done so in the end and this is what it may be, or Apple trying to do their own having also seen it (patented though so dunnu)

Either way I think this gapless things cause the problem, the Higher bit rate you go to 24 it all goes nuts but if you increase the Khz you get cracking at the start and end of the songs, then next stage now and again and to high it just goes all crazy.

It looks nice and some of the visual preview and other features though are really nice, just a shame this one feature makes your music go nuts at higher quality settings :/

The gallery ablum cover selector thing:

When they fix the crap it will be quite nice

are you deaf?

Ill have loads of songs of all sorts and listen to many types of music, wether or not they are played that ofton or ones that i listen to a lot are different matter.

Nothing wrong with either of those anyway tbh, dont have all songs of them same with others if a song catches my ear that I like it will get it.

Well you were being a litte insulting rather then commenting to me so if others have a stab at you you should not complain red tbh

He was criticising your music tastes.  "Others" were taking a stab, by making presumptions about what he listens to.  Probably based on the band he usually posts about most of the time.

Theres a differance.

Havent got round to upgrading to Itunes 7 yet, looks ok I guess.

i thought you would have taken it lightly, sorry if your sense of humour wasnt in the on position today.

anyway, upon using it i find it quite dreary. itunes doesnt seem to flow like it usually does.

back to winamp!

Johnny Cash, Wayon Jennings, and Whiskeytown on analog discs here. [/studly]

Play nice, boys, its just music. As for Itunes, cant you just downgrade to the previous version?

I do personally find it sucks, but is likely the way to go if you insist on one of those white lifestyle thingamabobbers.

You have to remove the current fully even the save stuff left over and then install the old one and set everything back up, pain in the arse, jusing using winamp and odd song not able to play due to being purchased.
