"Not too late."

Im a half dozen songs in, and its far better than "Come Away With Me" which was the last I critically listened to. CAWM was fine, but too elevatory.

This one is totally different. The influences are right on her sleeve: Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Joni Mitchell (Blue period), and Kurt Weill via the Tom Waits delivery system. Good show!

Well see how it is after a couple good listens--but so far its definitely evolutionary from her older records.

EDIT: Shes been listening to some Bonnie Raitt as well, major big time.
