I had a problem with my graphics card but made a fresh install and it seemed fine. restarted it this morning and when XP starts the screens go off.

Safe mode boots up correctly so i removed the drivers for the gfx card. Booted into windows and fine. However once i install drivers again i get the same problem or widnows booting up really really slow (impossible to do anything).

Ive tried ngo, omega, official and archive drivers but the same problem.

Ive reinstalled XP and everything is so for so good, but im just wondering untill when.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

system specs please?

swap your psu / unplug some hds or something that might be overloading it

Shuttle with a nforce3 250
6600GT
athlon 64 3000+
1gb ram.
i use 2 screens.

Ive had the shuttle for 2years + now as i brought it for univeristy but back home now.

Never had any problems before. I did get a X1650 for xmas but that broke.

Im getting the same problem again now after about 2hours of the new install. so ive put in an old gfx card - radeon 7200 and it only has one screen plugged in.

It seems strange as its been so good over the last 2years.

Ive been considering a new pc lately.

Have you connected the extra power connector from the PSU to the graphics card?
