Im interested though I dont play games on PC any more. Would be cool to see it working. No imagination for the name though.

Project "Screw you MS and your wireless PC adapter"?
It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

Eggtastico

Its a custom written driver Ive created based in part on another defunct open-source project, and the Linux xpad kernel module + some reverse engineering. Im still coding and testing it, but Ive been extremely busy with other projects + work.
Heres the original config GUI, Im slowly porting it to C++ from the Original Pascal/Delphi:

If I can find the time Ill set something up on Google Code, since this is all GPLv2. :)

And keep posting! No point me working on this if no-ones going to use it but me. :P

I would say as soon as it is ready to go it wouldnt take long to generate a LOT of interest. Post the info to Joystiq and Kotaku and let Digg pick it up - instant fame (and potentially a pointed email from Microsoft, though I cant see they can complain if its truly reverse engineered).

I cant believe someone hasnt already got this out considering how long the kit has been available. I think its awesome that you can do this.
