It's a Michael Bay film, you can't expect things like plot to get in the way of the whizz, pops and bangs... oh look shiny explody thing. 

Quite enjoyed the film for what it was and to be honest I thought there was less over the top fighting in this one than the others (but when there was fighter it was really over the top )

Don't get me wrong i will end up watching it and rate it myself, i just like his idea to review without words 

Me and my girlfriend went in knowing it got bad reviews and knew it was a big bang, look and feel action sci-fi type affair.
Good movie!
All until last 20 minutes me and everyone else in the cinema were glued to the screen.

It will make a lot of money as the family can come and watch it, couples and it is just a good release for a couple of hours.

Critics sometimes (well quite often) rate every movie as if it was up for an Oscar. They never take action movies or family movies for what they are sometimes and I always feel that is wrong.

I go see the movies for what they are and it is not always just about the script.

Next to go see is Harry Potter. End looks really action packed.

I think the person is griping that he's re-using footage rather than just saying that a scene looks similar. To be fair I think it's a legitimate gripe, I hadn't picked up on that one but there were a few shots taken from Pearl Harbour in the original Transformers, and the second Transformers film re-used tonnes of shots from the first film along with bits from Mission Impossible III.

It's fairly sh*tty when it's obviously done, but from what I can gather the reason they ended up reusing footage from the Island in the third film was because there was a fairly horrific accident while they were filming the scene originally and they're stuck in the middle of a rather nasty legal battle at the moment. So ironically the only reusing of footage from previous films that seems to have a legitimate reason is the only one that really hits the headlines and that most people seem to pick up on.

Looked it up. A tow-cable snapped, hitting film extra Gabriella Cedillo and resulting in a serious head injury, leaving her paralysed.
Tight deadlines, legal battle so they had to do something.

Bay did the Island, He was doing Transformers, They had footage they could use, they used it. Seems to work and does not stand out like it does not belong...
With the above in mind, I agree nothing wrong with doing that and it very likely many movies do this and it a very common practise where either budget or some issue causes footage to be re-used.
Things are edited and modded in such a way these days I bet you could pull lots of movies doing it that you never noticed before.

You can go on and on with the reusing in movies stuff..
Nolan reused in the batman movies, and stuff from Batman in Inception.. Until someone pointed it out to you I bet you never noticed though. I didn't, I have them in HD.
