I don't have a problem with sensible re-use of footage/stock footage/dubbed effects, etc to save money if it serves a good purpose and adds to the film, but if its just a cheap way of extending all the action scenes to the nth degree then its its a bit poor. If they were going to do that anyway then it really would be pointless refilming pretty much the same shot when they can simply CGI in what's needed. Give the immense budget these films get I'm surprised Bay would bother reusing anything at all though!

Nolan reused in the batman movies, and stuff from Batman in Inception.. Until someone pointed it out to you I bet you never noticed though. I didn't, I have them in HD.

I know it happens all over Hollywood. But Michael Bay does it in such a ham-handed and obvious way that you can't help but notice. I did and many other people did as well, even if you didn't.

But it is not ham-handed, I and many others never noticed..
Look at other directors and the reuse of props, built scenes, footage, costumes and actors from different movies. Most of them do it. Once you know about them you can say exacty the same to you above.
If it was so obvious just about everyone knows. Asked my brother who has the first two moves at home too - never noticed, asked a few people on twitter, never noticed till that youtube video.

The fact that you didn't pick up on it is irrelevant, as is the fact that your brother didn't. The world doesn't revolve around you and your brother and some random people you know on Twitter. Other people did pick up on it. Enough people did that you can't defend it as unnoticable. If it was unnoticable then people wouldn't have noticed. <- Do you see the logic at work here?

To be honest I'd say most people wouldn't notice. Only the die hard moviegoers would possibly spot these things. I mean, the footage of the crash from the island, If most people watched the two films back to back most wouldn't bat an eyelid, and of those that do most would think "heh, that looked a little familiar". Give the time between films a few days and that number would drop dramatically. And of those who do notice, I doubt many would be bothered enough to actually take the time to double check.

I didn't notice anything that screamed THIS IS BEING REUSED!!! but hey I wasn't looking for it.

I didn't notice until the video, one person noticed and some other people agreed, thats not the same as everyone noticing by themselves.

Don't have an issue with reusing scenes, whats more of an issue is having to sit through movies where they spend 95% of the budget on the cast. Expendables!

I'm not sure why everyone is caught up on what sh*t was reused from another film and what not when clearly the main issue is that THE FILM IS sh*t.

Without wanting to drag this out any futher, I have to admit I'm sort of on Liam's side with this one. Unless I was a Bay worshipper I doubt I would have noticed or cared, but I've not watched the comparison clip because I don't really want to have something I'll then notice forever more in the film, like when you notice a gaff, or wires, or the little black blob in the corner of the cinema picture that tells you a few frames before a scene is about to change... Once seen cannot be unseen and all that. It only spoils enjoyment.

Yes it is noticable, but I'm sure it's not like they sellotaped two cuts of film together. Either way it's not worth losing sleep over IMO.

It odd, Some times she looks bloody hot and then at other angles she doesn't.
English posh accent is quite hot and she has a great ass and legs but not my type at all.

Jason Stathom? Loves her and he could have any women he wants and she is a modal so she must have something.

Megan Fox was replaced because she is a cow and from what I have read most directors and movie staff (actors wont say anything bad about her) that have worked with her seem to echo similar sorts of stuff. She is actually heading down to Lindsey Lohan land where she is not picking up as much work as she probably wants.
A number of references to Megan in the movie and saying how bad her character was, the transformers did not like her. (And you know they mean Megan)

I've not got any problem with them replacing her, it just should have been with someone that is considerably better eye candy
