My trusty MotoG was probably the best phone I've had and for £100 I was well happy.

Last week it updated to android 4.4 and now it is crap.
Aside from the actual updates with 4.4 that ruin the menus and the gallery and the way SMS works.

It is soooo buggy. The data connection randomly crashes and and if I want it back anytime soon. I have to airplane mode it to reset it.

It hangs up on people all the time. Randomly tells me the sim card is not inserted.

Worst one off all is that the in call volume randomly drop to so quiet you can't hear anything unless you are in a perfectly silent room and you have to reboot phone to fix it.

Anyone else got a motog and/or KitKat android? How you getting on?

Kitkat on Nexus 5, no problems at all.

Kitkat works fine for me on Nexus 7 (and, incidentally, wow, playing GTA: SA on it really feels like living in the future). :)

Have you tried to find a way to downgrade? Could be a few coincidental hardware problems otherwise?

I upgraded my Android, not sure what version I'm on now but it's slower and definitely has cellular connection issues. I don't think it's the new software as such, I think upgrading must generally be a flawed process and introduce erroneousness.

My motog has been better since I upgraded it. More responsive and none of the dropping you're talking about.

Its an absolutely brilliant phone considering how cheap it is.

I have done a factory reset and it has improved a bit will see how it goes.

Same phone, same upgrade- my phone runs actually runs better after the upgrade.  :-X
