Just installed linux mint instead of ubuntu, nice and clean so far a nice experience.

i read a great review of it on the register about 6 months ago, been meaning to try it but then i bought a surface pro and been playing with that.

I did not like the new ubuntu desktop but needed to uppgrade as gimp, dropbox and skype werent supported any longer, mint, 17.1 cinnamon 'rebecca' works great with all I tried so far

Quite like the mate desktop for that gnome classic look. But having used the ubiquity desktop for a while I have to say I quite like it now.
