So Ive moved house. Ive gone with eclipse for the new ADSL connection. Ive got a Netgear Router DG834G with wireless i think is the model number.

every so often it seems to drop the connection.

looking at the logs in the routers web interface its also losing the time sync. it will ask for a new ntp from the web every so often after it sees the internet reappear.

its almost like its randomly rebooting itself.

is it the router thats fubard?

I have to be honest and say i think i lost the original power supply in the move. I did however find a netgear one, with the same output voltage and ampage as the router said it requires. so it could be the router or the power supply. but ive never heard of adsl doing this before? anyone agree?

If the psu is the same rating as the netgear one and is the same tip/ground configuration then there should be nowt wrong with the PSU :)
