Anyone seen this yet?
Its very very annoying lol, luckily i only have it popping up on my test VM.
Anyone know a way to "turn it off" ;) ;)
there are a number of methods that might work :)
From now on, use firefox and windizupdate (http://windizupdate.com/) :)

Not sure if this should be discussed...
So I am going to leave it open here whilst its discussed by the powers that be :)
As far as I understand it, the only time you would get nag screen is if your copy of Windows is pirated. Is your XP fully licensed legal copy? Tekforums is not here to help you run pirated software.
mine is but i didnt wanna be activating every 5 mins so my test VMs are *cough*corp*cough*
It has been decreed that the circumvention of WGA is operating in tantamount to piracy.
However, the Windizupdate link is to a useful tool for Mozilla users and while it is part of a grey area there is nothing directly illegal involved here, so it can stay for now.
Further links directing to sites detailing methods of WGA circumvention are to be removed by mods/admins.
Present Genuine irritation is trying to phone home every day so keeps hitting the firewall
Supposedly its because its a beta and they might want to switch it off.
I get the genuine thing from time to time (well I did when i was on my completely legal version of XP, now on vista beta). So its not just fo illegal copies, it annoyed the hell outta me too.
Also something thats annoying, because ive "activated" my windows xp so many times, it doesnt let me anymore, so sometimes i have to go the illegal way, despite paying Ã,£LOTS on windows xp =/.
Heck if they made XP better I wouldnt have to format so much, I shouldnt be punished for that.

Activating via internet is the only method that you cant do after 5 times.
You can still activate via a free telephone call, and that is just automated
"please enter block A" "please enter block B" AAAAARRRGGGHHH drives you insane after installing non-corp XP Pro on 10 or so computers in the office :D lol.
