Post by: Liam on August 01, 2006, 15:50:51 PM
Hey Everyone, iv just set up these new speakers on an Audigy 4 soundcard, the surround is good but on the rear speakers and centre speaker the sound doesnt hear as good as the front left and right speakers, and i cant see why it should be like this does anyone have any ideas why it is doing this or how i can fix this? Thanks - Liam

Doesnt hear as good isnt the most technical term

Is it too quiet, distorted or something else? What source are you using on the computer (i.e films, music, stereo or multichannel)?

What settings are in play on the card itself?

Could be a lot of things really.

Well i mean like the Rear and centre speakers are not as clear as the Front ones, and im using music files as source, and i have an Audigy 4 soundcard.

erm you using audio files with 5.1 output or is cmss turned on?

otherwise very little will come out of those speakers other than a bit of noise maybe.

Best way to check them is with a decent dolby digital film and a decent dvd playing software such as powerdvd
