.... that will let me see exactly what is going on on other monitors on my home network. So I can be sat at my own PC and see in real time whats going on on someone elses monitor. Im sure there are some network admin pieces of kit that will let you do this, but Im after something with a very small memory footprint that can be running 24/7 without gobbling memory or slowing the systems down very much. Is there anything like this out there or have I just been dreaming things up again?

Maxi Vista allows you to clone screens...

Or for free and a smaller foot print just use VNC in view mode. Real or Tight VNC are good.

If you chose VNC, you can also use VNC scan to manage multiple VNC installs. Goes for $59 (~£30) but depends on how many machines you want to monitor, otherwise you can just create a shortcut to each PC.

company I used to support used that.  Nice little piece of software, much better than most of the others we used for other companies.

yeah I always liked it for fixing other peoples computers without having to get out of my seat :)

the thing which really impressed me is how quick/responcive it is :-o

its also nice to be able to connect without the person sitting at the remote PC loosing there screen.... you can actually show them what theyre suposed to do :)

I like the sound of remote admin, but when you say it is free... does that mean it is actually free or "Free"   -)

Sounds like good software!

iirc, its free to try, but then you need a serial number to use it after 30 days :)

pm me if youd like more info ;)

not sure, never has for me, tho i guess iuf you run a firewall you might need to tell it to ignore it ?

Hmm remember theres one really useful thing and I thought it was called rAdmin... but you almost always have to add it to exclusion lists on AV checkers (not firewalls :)) to stop it deleting the damn server bit :D
