Not that sort, this is general hardware after all.

My dad asked me about these new UMPCs after seeing some EEE 700s on ebay for about £370.
After showing him some 900s on some seperate sites on the net he pretty much decided he wanted one of those.  So off we went to Meadowhall so he could have a look at some.  We saw the 900, but the XP version with 12gb SSD, we want the Linux version and put xp on ourselves as they come with the 20gb ssd.  Home we went and did some snooping on the internet and discovered the 901 with the new atom CPU and that it was going to be about £320.
I stumbled across a site showing the differences between all the UMPCs and found the MSI Wind at £305.  Looked a better deal than the EEE, gets better reviews due to it being slightly larger and being able to accomodate a slightly larger keyboard.  The Wind has a 10" screen and an 80gb 2.5" Mechanical hdd.
Showed them to my dad and he says, at that price Ill get two...you may as well have one too.

Its more going to be for when Im hooking it up to enviromental monitoring equipment to read the level and flow of rivers.
Sure beats using the toughbook as a discus and it still working when you get there.

Just spotted the Acer Aspire One, but cant find one for love nor money for sale anywhere, but that may be the missuss xmas present.
