Title: MTU Issues
Post by: Rivkid on April 30, 2008, 15:04:41 PM
Last week I plugged my Xbox 360 into my desktop pc upstairs and set up ICS. This worked fine and Xbox live hooked up straight away passing all tests. A few days on and it stopped working - failing the tests on MTU. A quick google points out that the BT homehub does have some issues - so to problem solve I took the Xbox downstairs and wired directly into the hub - which worked perfectly again. Ive checked my mtu settings on the wireless card in the pc and the LAN card connecting to the xbox and they all seem fine. Any suggestions to fix this or am I going to have to go buy a wireless adapter for it?

Still struggling with this Any ideas - or do I just have to bite the bullet and buy a wireless adapter?

MTU has nothing to do with how you have your network set up...

Try lowering it in your router - go for 1454 first.

Dont think the HomeHub has the capability to lower the MTU.  Although Ive never had issue using my Folks old one or my GFs parents homehub.
Best advise is to shop it in and get a proper router.
