Why do I need to have owned one? I know exactly what they do, what tye experience is and coupled with the fact that I have to support them means I dont need to buy an old persons phone to join in the discussion.

All my friends that have iphones are moving to android at next upgrade. All my friends that have androids now are looking forward to features and innovations their next android phone update will bring.

I disagree that alot of android apps are buggy, maybe 2years ago, but imo android apps and support is equal to apple's equivalent apps.
The only apps that are buggy now are small companies and home brew which apple owners dont even get the option of.

So round 2, are there any decent smartphones 100g or less for around £2-250 new/used?

I don't like heavy phones, i don't use a wallet either.

Prolly not what you wanna hear, but Blackberry are releasing their new OS upgrade early next year. I'm considering moving towards BB or not using HTC again.
