HP 22U rack, too much?
Yep.

I did consider a lack rack but it would never support an EMC CX3 SAN, 3 HP DL380's and all the switch gear I have.
Looks massive, is that just how the shot turned out or is it actually like one half of a fridge/freezer?
Looks to small for a labrador :)
Nice rack ;D

22u would be about 1/2 size of a normal cabinet
It is pretty big, deeper than a fridge freezer and taller than a washing machine
My least favourite part of a 42u rack. The bottom bit :)
3 x dl380s must suck quite a bit of juice down. Was thinking of having a similar setup here but looking at power costs couldn't justify it along with the noise :(

Yeah I'm running a pair of APC 1500 UPS's as 1 just couldn't cut it, works out about 6-7 amps with all the gear running.
In case anyone is wondering.. you can fit a 22U rack in the boot of a 5 series touring!
big question is, why would you want all that kit in your house?
Porn probably :)

Its good for learning and practising on so I don't break anything at work.
