I stupidly reactivated my Warcraft account after 6 months out of game.  Got a Mount Hyjal and Tempest Keep fast clear tonight and Black Temple Clear tomorrow to gear me up fast for Sunwell at the weekend.  Doh!  Guess thats me for 3-4 nights a week then.

I hated Warcraft, it was the only MMO I could never really stick with. It all felt rather linear, but admittedly my gripes were more with the fan-base than the game itself.

yeah - high end pve and pvp is pretty hardcore even in WoW.  But I get the impression you quite like your role playing etc which means its not going to be your sort of thing.

Back on the Orange Box for me, carrying on with EP2 atm.  Got stuck retrieving the essence for reviving the alyx vance.  Now Im past that and met the advisor pod/2nd set of hunters.

Yep, those kind of games are all about the exploration and immersion for me rather than the high end raiding and the phat loot.

Even though you have an NDA, can you say whether the game you are playing is immersive and all that?

Im the same in that WoW got to a point where you really couldnt solo stuff and I couldnt be doing with the hanging around for 2 hours to get a group together only for it to be too late really to get started so you leave just as theyre going in heh...

I bought a copy of the Orange Box so Im working my way through HL2, part1 nd part 2 eventually. £26 iirc. Part 2 shouldnt be that expensive.
