But when your first playing one the wrist and the wait take a while to get used to anyway, Main one is shreding the tips of your fingers, first time you play they are raw for a bit till they harden

Do not think I can play ever again anyway, my right thumb will never be nimble enough and I dont think it will be as good as holding thin things even when (and if) it gets fixed so its better then it is

Where it goes from say F1 to a F1 & F2 double are you supposed to let go of F1 and then hit F1+F2 together?

nope.  Just press down the extra key and strum again
