Managed to find out that you can upgrade the user interface from standard to a proper KDE one, looks nice :)

As there is a monitor socket it can be plugged in and run at 1024*768, a bit better resolution than the built in screen.

Still looking for an rtf editor that works on the thing...

oh ? I assume you tried to download it from that site then...

You should be able to open a terminal and do

 sudo apt-get install abiword

or some im led to believe

I did it the first way and then tried the second.

1 need the repository

2 probably need more space too. Getting a high speed 8GB SD-HC card for it as a boot device.

Didnt need the extra space, found out I needed the xandros repositories and got a list. Abiword downloaded and installed successfully in seconds  :w00t:

Still going to use the memory card tho.

Crunches when I try to do a wordcount :(

And still takes an age to load RTF files.

Guess I try some cream next, although I doubt if it will be any better.

I Thought I had found something with Tea, but it doesnt seem to want to install properly, the folders are there, but nothing much is in them :/
