Just wondering if you guys have DEP turned on or off?

Its on but on my machine its just software based, as opposed to hardware as my processor doesnt support it.

I use it, apparently, never knew it was there :)

Beaker

Off, it causes some serious problems with some drivers.

/NoExecute=AlwaysOff can often be your friend.

El Jacko

The default settings for windows only, so it shouldnt mess with your drivers [btw I been reating the wiki page on it ]

I would disagree.  My old PC used to crash for fun in games until i turned DEP off totally.  The default setting for windows is /NoExecute=OptIn.  My issue was with the HD Audio drivers.  Turned the DEP off and it flew along without a care i the world forever afterwards.

Maybe I just got lucky so far then  :heehaw:
