Ive decided on all the components for my new rig apart from the graphics card
The spec will be:
4800X2,
2GB DDR3200,
Raptor Main Drive
250Gb SATA Installs Drive
500Gb FireWire Storage Drive

Im torn on what AGP Graphics Card to get, want something thats going to last around Ã,£200 to spend.

Thinking of going for the ATI, tho im yet to see what the card looks like so it may not even fit in the shuttle...

This would help me of people reply, I have no idea about graphics cards these days not followed it much and lost track.

I do read though some of the mid version stuff still is the same chipset then the top models and you can still easy enough switch stuff on or overlclock to perform just as good but that is about it.

you are making a brand new computer and you are getting an AGP card?

surely you would be wanting PCIe ?

Also be careful of heat problems with shuttles if you plan on gaming etc as with that kinda kit in it you are likely to have an inferno computer if you go to max load

I would agree with Sweenster, for a new PC PCIe is the only real option, and if you want to go for real power a pair of slots.

If you are doing graphics rendering then a multi-core proc would suit you. Gaming you need to max ram, cpu and graphics to make it as future proof as possible.

Does the Intel based Procs/Mobos do SLi?

Last I heard the core2 duos were the best bang/buck:

Just got some good news the Shuttle im getting is a PCI-E not a AGP *thanks to knighty*

So looking at PCI-E now *relooks at everything*

Decided to go with:

BFG GeForce 7950 GT OC 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI

Then once I got another bit of spair cash, get another one of them for SLi

you sure there will be enough space for a second graphics in a shuttle?

and even if there is you are gonna have alot of heat problems with two in there. Be a man, buy a case large enough for your components.

What is this obsession with shuttles?

Because Ive got a small room and I need something I can just pickup and take places.. Cooling can be sorted out easy enough for it... Had 3 shuttles and all have being totally fine
