Parents watched it so as a kid I watched it
Not Sure if this will be any good but we need more Sci - Fi and decent Sci Fi. For being the Sci-Fi channel they sure are not willing to pump money into good shows (and actually canceling them) and just set on either not spending or maximizing profits to the 10th degree. Other TV Channels should try more. Big up to ABC though for giving this a try.

safe & boring is exactly what this is.. remaking a cult classic.

It is nothing new, exactly the same story told 20 years later.

google around & you should find the script for a new series by the original writer when the visitors return 20 years later on.. with much of the returning cast like ham, diana, faye & donovan.

But ABC pulled the plug & insisted on a remake... which seems to be flavour in america - so many remakes.

Your either old enough to remember the original & all the cult classic things like the uniforms, guns, shades, etc.
or your not.
